PETITION TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING ARTICLES IN THE NEW CONSTITUTION OF BARBADOS

TO: The Constitutional Reform Commission

On October 3rd, 2022, the Ministry of Education (Barbados) and the Inter-America Development Bank (IDB) commissioned a survey to over 700 first-form students at five secondary schools across the island. The survey was conducted without parental consent or authorization or acknowledgment. In other words, parents were not informed that their children would be participating in this survey. The survey included questions on sexuality, private and intimate information about their parents and themselves.
