Good day,

  • The date of election should be standard and not be at the discretion of a Prime Minister

  • The five (5) year term period can be maintained

  • Do not limit the term of service for a Prime Minister or President (taking our small population into consideration) who is competent and in good health. Can the National Insurance system and tax payers afford maintaining multiple retired Prime Ministers, Presidents and their spouses??

  • Parliamentarians who serve for a minimum of ten (10)years should have to wait until they reach pensionable age to receive their pensions just like other public servants.

  • The political candidate gaining the second most votes within a constituency should be allowed to form a Coalition opposition.

  • We NEED to keep the Senate and grant the Senators the power to investigate mismanagement in Ministries and "mismanagement" in the executive.

  • (ii) The Senate's composition should comprise of an equal number of persons selected by the Ruling party, President and the "coalition opposition group." (six (6) each - to ensure true "checks and balances")

  • (iii) The senate should be empowered to determine whether or not the President, Prime Minister and Cabinet members are "fit" to remain in office.

  • The Senator representing religion should be selected by a Christian council and must have respect for the other "God/ Creator" religions practiced in Barbados." The laws prohibiting Satanic worship should be maintained.

  • Limit the size of a Cabinet to no more than twenty (20). Twenty is sufficient; employ more public servants to assist the Ministers.

  • Reduce the constituencies to twenty, taking into consideration our small population and geographical landmass.

  • Homosexual "arrangements" MUST NEVER be recognised as legal. (e.g) be recognised legally as a couple, married or as a family).

    kind regards
