Subject: Constitutional Reform.

To Whom It May Concern:

I am responding to the upcoming amendments to the Barbados Constitution.

I am a Barbadian living overseas. I would like the following entrenched in the revised version of the Constitution.

If a person wants to be Prime Minister or President of Barbados; they must be a Barbadian born of African Descent. This does not mean that people of different colour cannot run for office.

Reason: Barbados has been the envy of many countries because of its beauty and people. Due to immigration, they are many people of various ethnicities and culture who would like to have control over Barbados. This could lead to people of African descent be relegated to the bottom.

I love my country too much to see that happen. This is something I would like the government to take a hard look at and entrenched in the constitution to ensure my people of African descent maintain control of our beautiful island.

F.Y.I.

Thanks
